Acetone in the urine of a child. Why is there a smell of acetone from the mouth in children
It doesn’t matter if acetone is found in the child’s urine or if it smells from the mouth – all this is called acetone syndrome. As a rule, the condition occurs in childhood. Usually people call it “acetone in children”, to simplify the concept. If the mother was told that the child in the urine had acetone or she felt a corresponding smell from her mouth, this does not mean that the child was poisoned or got to acetone. Acetonemic syndrome can be caused by a violation of the diet, for example, if the child has large breaks between meals. Also, acetonemic syndrome can develop against a background of somatic, infectious or endocrine diseases, occurs in central nervous system tumors. It can appear after a recent surgery, for example, after removal of the tonsils. Continue reading

In addition, sulfur provides additional moisture, acting as a lubricant to ensure the mobility of the membrane.
Typically, sulfur is produced enough to perform its functions, and all excess goes by itself during chewing or talking. However, in some cases, either abundant sulfur formation or difficulties with its removal can occur. In this case, the ear canal will be blocked. Continue reading
